Xcr uci / xcr triathlon: what's the difference

The XCR UCI was designed to meet UCI standards and thus limits the possible adjustments for riding position (depth and width) The XCR Tri offers a riding position in compliance with the expectations of triathletes, with the ability to maximise adjustment lengths and widths using an attachment plate as well as triathlon-specific extensions and arm rests. The Tri frame also includes a toolbox and a bento box.

Xcr uci frame, a beast on wheels!

The XCR frame is a high-modulus carbon frame that meets the demands of the highest-level cyclists. It was designed with Swiss Side, whose expertise in aerodynamics allowed it to look for every opportunity for optimisation with no compromises. It complies with UCI regulations and allows you to participate in time trials on roads. The Decathlon AG2R Team and Van Rysel Roubaix cycling teams use the XCR on the world's greatest races, like the Tour de France.

Xcr uci cockpit

The right position is an essential factor in performance, particularly when it comes to time trials. We've designed a cockpit that allows for multiple adjustments: height, width, depth, and angle, using a variety of elements such as the extension support platform and various spacers. As for the extensions, we've chosen the Deda Jet One carbon monocoque model for perfect ergonomics.

Shimano ultegra di2 groupset + inpeak power sensor

Swiss side wheels / michelin tyres

The Swiss Side wheels are among the fastest on the market, and it makes complete sense that we chose the Hadron² Classic models, which are a gold standard in aerodynamics. Front wheel: HADRON² Ultimate 625 Rear wheel: HADRON² Ultimate 800 With more economical DT Swiss spokes and hubs, the HADRON² Classic are the highest performance wheels. Warning and adjustment

Please note: never squeeze the brakes without a wheel being attached, as you could get the brake pads stuck together. If the rotor is touching the pads, here's how to realign the wheel and caliper: - Loosen the wheel axle - Brake hard and tighten the axle at the same time - If the rotor is still touching the brakes, do the same thing and loosen the caliper - If you're unable to resolve the issue, please visit one of our workshops.

Bedding in procedure

Bed in your brakes on a flat, dry road with no obstacles. It's important to alternate between the front and rear brakes, and to work through the following steps: Step 1: Ride at 15 km/h and gradually brake to slow yourself to 5 km/h, 10 times in a row. Step 2: Ride at 20 km/h and gradually brake to slow yourself to 5 km/h, 10 times in a row. Step 3: Ride at 25 km/h and gradually brake to slow yourself to 5 km/h, 10 times in a row. Between each step, release and ride for a few dozen metres.

Care advice

Please note that it is important to regularly service your drive train, especially if you ride in difficult conditions (wet and/or dirty roads). Regular maintenance will help your drive train to last for longer. You should regularly check your chain with our chain wear indicator, which is available on our website.

Which size?

Please refer to the bike frame geometry table. Ideally, we recommend doing a postural study in order to make the most of your bike's performance. If you're between sizes, a shorter bike is better if you want something more responsive and lively. However, if you want to be comfortable when riding long distances, the bigger size is your best bet.
