The FTP² shoe does not seek to improve upon the existing; it reinvents it. As the centerpiece of the FTP² panoply, it breaks free from UCI rules to explore new performance potential where the shoe, pedal, and tightening system merge into a single technological block. The goal is simple: eliminate all parasitic interfaces for absolute efficiency.

No-Pedal technology (patent 1)

This is the most radical technological breakthrough: the shoe no longer clips onto a pedal; it becomes the pedal. The concept integrates the hub (axle) directly inside the carbon sole. This "spine" houses the mechanics and eliminates all intermediate layers (cleats, pedal bodies, metal screws, and inserts). The result is a more direct power transfer and a drastic reduction in the foot-to-axle distance, minimizing energy loss.

Motorized lacing (patent 2)

Gone are the manual dials that break aerodynamics. The tightening system is completely internalized and motorized. Powered by a SRAM battery positioned at the heel, a micromotor manages lace tension via an invisible winder. Everything is controlled via radio from the FTP² bike cockpit. The rider can adapt the fit (comfort or sprint) without ever letting go of the handlebars, ensuring total safety and a smooth profile with no external peripherals.

NACA aerodynamics (patent 3)

The shoe's architecture is dictated by the wind. The outer shell features a NACA shape (airplane wing profile) on its lateral side to smooth airflow. A major innovation, protected by a patent, lies in the creation of a lateral vent with fins. This forced channel captures disturbed air to reduce drag, but also leverages these fins to drive an internal ventilation system. This directed airflow actively cools both the internal motor and the athlete's foot.

The technologie legacy
