The project did not aim to create a new helmet from scratch, but to transform a high-performance existing base into a weapon of pure speed. The FTP² Helmet solves the impossible equation between the lightness of road gear and the aerodynamics of a time-trial profile.

The major innovation has a name: the X Clip Concept. This patented system allows for an instant transformation of the helmet. An aerodynamic shell clips directly onto the VAN RYSEL RCR-R road helmet. This modularity maintains the safety and comfort of a homologated, ventilated helmet while providing the air penetration performance of a record-breaking prototype.

Light signature & structure

The identity of the FTP² concept is expressed through its light signature. Perfectly integrated, the light is not an add-on but an integral part of the design, ensuring visibility at high speeds. The assembly relies on a hollowed-out structural interface (3D printing) that minimizes overall weight. The rider benefits from massive aerodynamic gains without suffering the usual heaviness of time trial helmets.

To achieve the lowest possible drag coefficient, the outer carbon shell was sculpted in collaboration with Swiss Side, the global reference in aerodynamics. The result is considered the fastest shape on the market. Every curve has been optimized to reduce drag and stabilize the rider's head, thereby reducing neck fatigue at high speeds.
